Sponsorships

As market leader the role of Merial Australia extends beyond the development, introduction and marketing of animal health products. Through sponsorship commitments Merial supports a wide range of organisations and groups in their various activities and endeavours.

Angus Society of Australia

Merial is involved in a four-year sponsorship agreement with Angus Australia (AA) and Certified Australian Angus Beef (CAAB). This partnership is a natural fit as all three companies are customer focused, innovation driven, and committed to consistently delivering products of the highest standard of quality and safety.

EPRINEX has been selected by AA and CAAB as its preferred animal health product for controlling worms in cattle due to its superior efficacy and safety profile. With its nil meat and milk withholding and nil ESI, EPRINEX gives you the flexibility to treat and sell your cattle whenever you want, with confidence regarding traceability and quality compliance.

The three organizations will jointly produce the CAAB/Angus Australia/Merial electronic newsletter which will be emailed to all members. This popular newsletter started in December 2005, providing excellent veterinary health information from veterinarian Stuart Halliday on behalf of Merial, plus Merial product information, along with the latest developments in Angus Australia and CAAB.

In addition, Merial will be sponsoring cattle assessment courses in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

National Breast Cancer Foundation

Merial is proud to be involved with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) through a Gold Partner sponsorship with EPRINEX Pour-On for Cattle since 2006. A portion of sales from every litre of EPRINEX purchased by farmers will go directly to the NBCF. This fundraising opportunity gives families on the land a chance to contribute to the NBCF simply by choosing EPRINEX. Not only are they taking care of their cattle and their family through the use of this product but they are caring for others as well.

EPRINEX has been selected as a suitable product because of its OH & S and food safety attributes. It is easy for farmers who use EPRINEX to comply with increasing OH & S requirements. EPRINEX is not classified as a hazardous substance, it is not labelled as a poison and it is not a flammable dangerous good so there are no requirements for protective gear when used as recommended. Also EPRINEX has a nil meat and milk withholding period and a zero Export Slaughter Interval (ESI).

The Pink Ribbon feature on all pack sizes of EPRINEX.

In aligning EPRINEX with the NBCF as a Gold Partner, Merial works to promote the safety and good health of rural families, in particular through the education of rural women during “Pink Ribbon” lunches hosted throughout rural Australia.
